Dear Colleagues,
Water resource engineering and management are instrumental in sustaining the health, prosperity, and stability of our global communities and ecosystems. In a world increasingly impacted by climate change, urbanization, and population growth, the sustainability of these essential resources has become an indisputable priority.
This Special Issue, entitled "Sustainability of Water Resources Engineering and Management", invites you to a multidisciplinary discussion and exploration of the approaches, technologies, and policies geared towards the sustainability of water resource engineering and management. We seek studies that delve into the inherent environmental, social, and economic aspects of these issues.
Papers selected for this Special Issue will be subjected to a rigorous peer-review process, aiming for the swift and broad dissemination of research results, developments, and applications.
We invite authors to submit original research papers and review articles that encompass, but are not limited to, the following topics:
- Innovations in water resource engineering techniques and technologies for sustainability;
- Approaches and best practices in efficient and sustainable water management
- The integration of data and digital technology in water resource management;
- The impact of climate change on water resource engineering and management;
- The analysis and evaluation of policies for water resource sustainability;
- Case studies on innovative solutions in sustainable water resource management.

For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Sustainability is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
