Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Sustainable Energy Technologies (SETs) include various products, devices, equipment, and technologies that generate clean energy while mitigating environmental impacts such as greenhouse gas emissions. This includes energy services based on software and data protected by patents and/or trademarks. To support further innovations in sustainable energy technologies, various computational modeling approaches are used to enhance the design of these SETs. Sustainability frameworks and performance indicators are adopted to ensure that the power requirements are met and societal and environmental constraints are satisfied. Recent trends have highlighted the circular economy framework as an industrial paradigm that emphasizes recycling, reusability, product lifecycle extension, and sustainable design. Sustainable production and consumption require scientific research, technical innovation, and novel solutions.
This Special Issue will provide a platform for technological and scientific methods, allowing researchers to design, assess, and evaluate the effectiveness of innovations in SETs. While the focus lies on design optimization and sustainability assessment tools applied on SETs, it also covers various computational modeling approaches such as multi-criteria decision analysis, artificial intelligence, and network maps. Sustainable Energy Technology addresses advanced students, researchers, technical consultants, decision makers in industries, and policy makers.
This Special Issue will include a comprehensive overview and in-depth technical research paper addressing recent progress in SETs with the application of computational modeling techniques. Research addressing recent developments, the current state of the art, and emerging technologies and numerical approaches in this field are highly encouraged.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Sustainability is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
