Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, the intersection of sustainable innovation and digital governance holds critical importance for addressing global challenges and advancing societal wellbeing, whereas in the digital IT era, innovative ideas tend to be pondered through a Design Thinking approach and other innovative design methods. However, there are problems with this, in that user-oriented innovation based on the Design Thinking approach cannot be involved in CIO/CDO-defined digital IT strategies.
Digital governance, that covers the framework, processes, and policies, can address the emerging issues of security and privacy, data management, enterprise architecture (EA), compliance and risk management, digital ethics, etc., in the digital enterprise and digital government.
This Special Issue aims to explore the multifaceted dimensions of sustainable innovation within the context of digital governance, focusing on the integration of technology-driven solutions to promote environmental sustainability, social equity, and effective governance practices.
This Special Issue seeks to examine innovative approaches, strategies, and frameworks that leverage digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, Internet of Things (IoTs), and data analytics, to foster sustainable development and enhance governance processes. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Applications of digital technologies in promoting sustainable practices across industries and sectors.
- Governance frameworks and policies for managing digital transformation towards sustainability.
- Innovative digital governance in the digital IT era:
- Sustainable approach in digital innovation and transformation;
- IoTs- and AI-focused approach in sustainable digital innovation and transformation. - The role of digital governance with a sustainable strategy in innovative firms:
- Manufacturing industry, healthcare industry, and financial industry. - Innovative design and sustainable EA governance with digital leadership capabilities.
- Case studies and best practices of sustainable innovation initiatives driven by digital technologies.
- Ethical and social implications of digital governance in sustainable innovation.
- Collaborative models and partnerships for achieving sustainable outcomes through digital initiatives.
- Role of entrepreneurship, startups, and industry–academia collaboration in advancing sustainable innovation.
