Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Today, the transition to a circular economy is essential, as it reduces resource extraction, generates less waste, and improves the environment. This Special Issue, titled "Circular Economy Innovations: Strategies for Sustainable Resource Management", looks at how circular economic models can foster resilience, mitigate climate change, promote economic prosperity, and take socio-environmental responsibility. This Special Issue investigates key principles, innovations, designs, and practical applications of circular economy in productive, service, and social sectors. It offers a detailed understanding, starting with the basics of circular economy, comparing it to a traditional linear economic model, and extending principles such as waste reduction, product life extension, and natural systems regeneration.
This Special Issue is aimed at policymakers, business leaders, sustainability practitioners, researchers, and students. Policymakers will find relevant information on the creation of regulations that promote circular practices and designs. Business leaders will learn how to incorporate innovative strategies to improve competitiveness and sustainability. Sustainability practitioners and researchers will find valuable current and emerging abstracts and studies, while students will receive an accessible introduction to prepare for careers in sustainability science, sustainable development, and sustainability management.
In summary, "Circular Economy Innovations: Strategies for Sustainable Resource Management" is an essential resource for anyone interested in or involved in the transition to a more sustainable and resilient economic model. It aims to inspire and equip readers with the knowledge and tools needed to contribute to a future where economic activity strengthens natural and social capital rather than depleting it.
