Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

At the current stage of the development and implementation of information technologies across various spheres of human activity, decisive changes are taking place that require sustainable development for the safety of people, the introduction of business functions for the functioning of public associations, and the provision of security methods protecting the lives of citizens.

Socio-economic changes brought about by information technologies such as blockchain, big data analytics, the Internet of Things, virtual reality, augmented reality, augmented virtual reality, artificial intelligence, algorithmic methods, modeling and gamification, medical innovation, and 3D printing can have a positive and negative impacts on sustainable development.

However, the application of such methods and tools for processing technologies does not meet the expectations of developers and leads to losses of information and conflicts between consumer expectations and results.

Sustainability reporting focuses on the impact of companies’ business strategies on the environment, society, and governance. As an integral part of a company’s corporate social responsibility programs, sustainability reporting improves corporate reputation, strengthens consumer confidence, and reduces business risks.

Therefore, the main goal of this Special Issue is to highlight the mutual influence of business model innovations and the development of information technologies with their introduction into the life of society.

An approach based on the study of the characteristics and peculiarities of subject industries and the development of new information technologies is needed to ensure sustainable development remains justified.

Research articles and original reviews are welcome in this Special Issue and topics may include, but are not limited to:

  • The information technologies of sustainable development;
  • Sustainable business strategies;
  • Sustainable practices;
  • Corporate governance and sustainability;
  • Internal control and sustainability;
  • Big data and sustainability;
  • Sustainability and corporate innovation.
