Topic Information

Dear Colleagues,

With the continuous construction of higher education institutions around the world and the continuous expansion of research institutes, graduate education has been promoted from elite to civilian. Although it provides many opportunities for learners to pursue degrees, it also makes the problems arising in the development of graduate education increasingly more obvious, such as the number of graduate students who do not study or postpone their graduation year by year. Therefore, determining how to enable graduate students to successfully obtain master's or doctoral degrees has become an important issue. Meanwhile, the mental health problems caused by the pressure of scientific research have also attracted the attention of the public and universities. Determining how to help them to maintain a good mental state is also an urgent issue. In addition, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, higher education has been severely affected. Now the world has stepped into the post-COVID-19 era, and issues such as quality assurance, institutional innovation, and sustainable development of postgraduate education have also received increased attention from governments and organizations around the world. In short, there are many issues in today’s graduate education world, which still need in-depth discussion and corresponding strategies from educational scholars, hence this joint effort from our journals for a Topic on this, in which everyone is welcome to contribute. Based on the above-mentioned objectives, the following topics are invited for this Topic:

  • Institutional innovation of graduate education;
  • Curriculum development in graduate education;
  • Cross-domain professional development of graduate students;
  • Career development of graduate students;
  • International comparison of graduate education;
  • Ability assessment of graduate students;
