Gómez-Oca and colleagues have written a clear and comprehensive review in which they summarize the common pathogenic mechanisms in centronuclear and myotubular myopathies. In addition, they describe and discuss the current therapeutic approaches under clinical trials. They use several tables and figures to organize the topic, making it appealing to the reachers and the general audiences. Thus, the manuscript provides valuable information regarding the current progress of centronuclear and myotubular myopathies studies.

This Review Article entitled “Common pathogenic mechanisms in centronuclear and myotubular myopathies and latest treatment advances” is regarding the current knowledge about the pathophysiology of centronuclear myopathies (CNM) and their therapeutic targets.
The review is nicely conceived and written, giving a timely update on the recent findings on CNMs, from their causative genes, proteins, animal models, common mechanisms, and therapeutic strategies etc. Thus, I congratulate the authors on producing an informative, comprehensive, and balanced review.
