How Cells Communicate with Each Other in the Tumor Microenvironment: Suggestions to Design Novel Therapeutic Strategies in Cancer Disease
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The manuscript by Zefferino et al. is focused on the interplay among GJIC, Panx-HCs, and the purinergic system in the TME. The manuscript is timely, well designed with proper references. However few comments are needed to addressed before it's possible acceptance in this esteemed journal.
- Authors have shown an intrinsic association of DAMP's with TME elements. However, the mitoDAMP's information is missing. Kindly highlight in this context.
- Grammatical errors are needed to be rectified throughout the manuscript.

Reviewer 2 Report
This manuscript is a review of interaction with GJIC, Panx-HCs, and the tumor microenvironment for cancer progression, invasion, and metastatization.
Currently, it is very important to study the microenvironment or tumor immune in cancer treatment. This manuscript is very interesting because This manuscript describes in great detail the role or GJIC and Panx-HCs in tumor microenvironment or immune destruction. I think this manuscript can be published for IJMS.
