Novel Ultrastructural Insights into the Clear-Cell Carcinoma of the Pancreas: A Case Report
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsI have carefully reviewed the manuscript submitted for consideration and appreciate the opportunity extended to me. It pertains to the description of an intriguing clinical case concerning a rare subtype of PDAC, namely Clear Cell Carcinoma of the Pancreas. The manuscript is well-written, albeit somewhat verbose, yet overall sufficiently comprehensible. Particularly commendable is the description, which, in my opinion, is meticulously detailed, accompanied by visually appealing immunohistochemical images. The references section is adequate. I believe the manuscript can be accepted for publication in its current form.

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsIn this report, the authors reported a rare kind of PADAC, clear cell primary adenocarcinoma of the pancreas (CCCP). Their histological examinations showed clear and abundant vacuoles in tumor cells, and further ultrastructural analysis by TEM revealed many mitochondria in the cytoplasm. These findings reveal new aspects of clear cell CCCP, including the accumulation of disrupted mitochondria. This extends our understanding of the nature of CCCP. In addition, the discussion thoroughly addresses the relative aspects of their observations and the current studies regarding CCCP.
