Short-Term Hydro-Thermal-Solar Scheduling with CCGT Based on Self-Adaptive Genetic Algorithm
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Recommendation: Accept with major revisions @ Honourable Cheif Editor
Strong points of this research paper :
- Short-Term Hydro-Thermal-Solar Scheduling : is the need of hour as we have to save mother nature and thermal power plants are gradually obsoleted.
- Self-Adaptive Genetic Algorithm
- A lot of results along with control variables status.
# Suggestions:
1. 4.8. Computational procedure can be written more lucrative in manner.
2. Improve the resolution of Fig: 3. Simplified flowchart of the proposed SAGA.
3. Instead of giving coding use a flow diagram for Figure 5. New constraints handling for real power balance and ramp-rate
4. Whenever a new optimization has been proposed: it is better to perform std optimization performance testing using std test function e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Test_functions_for_optimization (at least any five functions ) and to prove its effectiveness use the Friedman test and ranking analysis.
5. Why : "population and maximum iteration number was set to be 100" @line no 357
6. 50 independent 356 runs, @line no 356-357 . Please provide the standard deviation value .
7. bibliography must be up to date.
The aforesaid issues will improve the paper.
Best wishes to Authors

1.Authors'are requested to check the plagiarism report and changes the copied portions.
2.How the value of k is recommended?
3.In table 1 & 2 the result obtained using SAGA is same as previously publishes papers i.e.
(Borce Postolov, Atanas Iliev, Dimitar Dimitrov,
Natasa Dimishkoska. "N–1 Security Constrained
Short-Term Hydrothermal Scheduling by Self Adaptive Genetic
Algorithm with PTDF", 2021 International Conference on
Information Technologies (InfoTech), 2021).
4. Authors'are requested to modify the conclusion portion.
5. Is there any practical application already established, if so please explain with details.
6. Re write the result & discussion portion.
6. Explain the robustness of proposed method.

Reviewer 1 Report
Dear Authors,
after the corrections and modification you paper is improved a lot.
some minor revisions are needed:
1. check the text again some errors
2. plz insert the table Comparison of total fuels cost results for 2nd benchmark system. etc to the manuscript.
@ Chief Editor: accept after minor rectification
Best wishes for Authors

1. "Robustness"of algorithm is not described properly.
2. If possible, please show the result how it is achieved (using Matlab or etc)using SAGA.
