Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

In this paper, the authors compare methods of algorithmically processing continuous signals in problem of finding “suitable” representations of analog information on digital hardware. This problem is related to the fundamental in digital twinning. The study in this paper is expected to have a positive impact on the future of digital twinning. The reviewer recommends the paper to be published.

Reviewer 2 Report

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The manuscript compares two methods of processing signals in light of the general problem of finding “suitable” representations of analog  information on digital hardware. Authors presented theoretical findings on how the algoithmic non-equivalence of different types of digital descriptions of analog signals may play a role in the context of digital twinning in metaverse applications, a technology that is to be standardized in upcoming 5G releases. In particular presented results affect reliability and integrity of signals. I suggest editor to accept the manuscript since it is well written and well structured.

Author Response

We want to thank the reviewer for their assessment. We have revised the article thoroughly to improve the issues they indicated. In particular, this concerns the presented conclusions.
