Reviewer 2 Report
In this manuscript an improvement of the Zienkiewicz-Zhu (ZZ) Error Recovery Technique is carried out.
The overall quality of the manuscript can be improved considering that the exposition of the content is not very brilliant.
The paper is written with a sufficient English language; hence a deep review of the text is needed.
Some aspects of the submitted paper are not very clear and must be specified or corrected. Here are reported some considerations:
- The Introduction is too long. It can be shortened.
- Review the sentence at line 45-46. It is not very clear.
- Review the sentence at line 103-104. It is not very clear.
- Line 149. Correct “y direction”.
- Parenthesis should be removed from the symbols within the whole text.
- Equation 13. Provide explanation of Ω and D.
- Line 161. Remove the full stop before ratio.
- Figure 1 and 2. Improve image resolution. Correct the (b) caption. It should be “Element Neighbourhood”.
- Line 197. X and y of b should be subscript.
- Specify in the Square plate example the finite element software adopted for the simulations.
- Line 299-300. Review the sentence.
As stated before, this reviewer recommend a deep review of the English language.
For all the previous reasons, the reviewer recommends Major amendments of paper for publication in Applied Sciences.
