- The absolute linear deviations of additively manufactured dental casts significantly differ from those of intraoral scan data.
- When evaluating cast-free, digital workflow-derived prostheses on additively manufactured casts, the casts should be manufactured immediately after post-polymerization or within one week from a clinical perspective to achieve the best accuracy. This would help the use of additively manufactured dental casts for a digital workflow, and allow for a direct view and ascertain the harmony between the prosthesis and the adjacent teeth and soft tissues.
