The journal retracts the article “Empowering Low- and Middle-Income Countries to Combat AMR by Minimal Use of Antibiotics: A Way Forward” [1], cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office regarding an overlap between this article [1] and another manuscript [2] under consideration at another publisher at the same time, produced by a different authorship group.
In accordance with our complaints procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and the Editorial Board. Following discussions with the authors, the Editorial Board was unable to verify the authenticity of the authorship list or confirm the origins of this article [1]. As a result, the Editorial Board and the authors have decided to retract this article [1] in accordance with MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30, accessed on 28 November 2024).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of Antibiotics.
