The Promise of Turning Induced Deformation Process for Synthesizing Magnesium Based Materials with Superior Mechanical Response
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
This is a very interesting article where the authors analyze the effectiveness of the Turning Induced Deformation Process for making Magnesium alloys. This work is well written, and its results are of great scientific and practical interest. Based on this, the reviewer recommends the article for publication after addressing the following minor conсerns.
- The information in the tables in Figure 4 is almost impossible to read. Either tables should be presented separately, or skipped.
- English language and style are fine/minor spell check required at the proofing stage.

The paper is the review concerning the TID-method for Mg-materials production.
The introduction is unclear for me: is it for the method of recycling Mg-alloy and then used to other application or to use TID for production of the different materials using Mg-recycled materials? The Uthors compare the energies used during production of the different Mg-materials. I had firstly impression that they want to find technology that decrease the quantity of Mg filings waste in the production of various products.
In Table 2 there must be +- values given. For me it is not significant impact of Mg-materials obtained by TID technology to the ingnition temperature.
I think the deeper analysis is needed how the studied parameters of Mg-materials are influenced by the used technology of their preperation.
