I thank the authors for their work on Automated Design Optimization Toolbox for Wind Turbine Blades. Here are my comments

1 - The authors indicate what the different variables in figure 1 represent. The variable Vrel mentioned in page 1 which is the relative wind velocity is not shown anywhere

2- It would be good to indicate the reference of the formulas in equations 1-3

3- Why the formula of Φ has been repeated twice? Equation 1 and 4 are identical

4- The numbering of equations 5-6 should be reviewed

5- How is used α'_new in the IBEM diagram (Figure 3)? Its calculation is done without showing how it is used

6- The boundary conditions and fluid properties are presented in Table 1 but Table 1 is not shown anywhere in the manuscript as well as Table 3. There is no mention of Table 2 in the text.

This is a publication from one of the authors. I see that the authors do not mention/cite this work in the paper.

The title of the thesis is here: A 3D MULTIDISCIPLINARY AUTOMATED DESIGN OPTIMIZATION TOOLBOX FOR WIND TURBINE BLADES BASED ON NS SOLVER AND EXPERIMENTAL DATA

Moreover, the thesis and the manuscript are quite similar. Same figures, same blocks of paragraphs.

Of course, a researcher can produce a paper from his/her thesis, however, a journal article has to be an original work that has not been published anywhere before. Did you sign any copyright with your institution (University)? If not, it's possible with some modification per the policy of your institution.

I suggest the authors to remove the similar/same parts, and cite the thesis and refer those similar parts to the thesis. Highlight the novelty of the paper. Change the title. Add new updated paragraphs, add new different images, add new different tables.

A substantial change, a major revision is required.
