Prevalence of Premature Ejaculation: A Narrative Review of National and Cultural Differences
Abstract
:1. Introduction
Rationale and Goals
- reviewed empirical studies that included men from more than one nationality or culture;
- compared studies that drew men from different countries but that used an identical method for establishing PE status, specifically, the Premature Ejaculation Diagnostic Tool [21] “definite PE” categorization;
- included a sampling of studies from different world regions but that used varying PE classification methodologies, thereby introducing a confounding variable to the analyses and thus demonstrating how comparison across such studies may result in misleading conclusions.
