Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue, entitled "Cutting-Edge Developments in Prosthodontics and Dental Implants", delves into the latest scientific advancements and innovative practices regarding prosthodontics and dental implantology. Emphasizing the aesthetic and functional outcomes, this Special Issue will explore key areas such as biomimetic and adhesive prosthodontics, highlighting the importance of replicating natural tooth structure and function. It will also address additive prosthodontics and the integration of both analog and digital dentistry, showcasing how these combined approaches can optimize treatment planning and outcomes.
Significant emphasis will be placed on the investigation of dental materials, particularly the development and application of hybrid materials and polymer-infiltrated ceramic networks, which offer enhanced strength and aesthetics. This Special Issue will also examine recent advancements regarding the properties and applications of glass ceramics, translucent zirconia and zirconia implants, underscoring their role in achieving superior esthetic results and long-term durability. By providing a comprehensive overview of these topics, this Special Issue aims to enhance the understanding and application of these cutting-edge developments among researchers and clinicians in the field of dental prosthetics and implantology.
