Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
In recent years, educational teaching has undergone transformative change, driven by significant innovation and the integration of emerging technologies. The rapid development of artificial intelligence, machine learning, augmented reality and other cutting-edge technologies has paved the way for new educational tools and platforms. This technology is being applied across a wide range of educational fields, from K–12 classrooms to higher education and professional training environments, demonstrating its versatility and potential to address a wide range of educational needs and challenges. These advances not only improve teaching methodologies but also redefine the learning experience, making it more interactive, personalized and accessible.
We are pleased to invite you to contribute to our Special Issue, “Featured Papers in the ‘Applied Systems on Educational Innovations and Emerging Technologies’ Section”. This Special Issue aims to gather insights into the impact of innovations on educational practices, the challenges faced in their implementation, and potential future developments, as well as comprehensive review papers highlighting significant advances.
To provide comprehensive coverage of the dynamic field of educational innovation and emerging technologies, we encourage submissions of a range of article types that explore various themes.
Research areas may include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Applied Systems in emerging technologies;
- Generative artificial intelligence systems for educational innovation;
- Smart electromechanical system analysis and design for educational innovation;
- Mathematical control theory and systems for educational innovation;
- Computer-aided systems for educational innovation;
- E-learning systems for educational innovation;
- Engineering design methodology and optimization for educational innovation;
- Computers and human–machine interaction in educational innovation;
- Internet technology in educational innovation;
- Intelligent robots for educational innovation;
- Internet of Things (IoT) in educational innovation;
- Machine learning in educational innovation.
We look forward to receiving your contributions

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Applied System Innovation is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
