Microbiology
A section of Biology (ISSN 2079-7737).
Section Information
Microorganisms are an essential part of life on earth, play an important role in almost every natural cycle, and have a profound impact on the development of humans and nature. Various types of microorganisms are applied in food and pharmaceutical industry, agriculture, and environmental remediation. Studying the structure and life activities of microorganisms will help us gain a deeper understanding of microorganisms and other organisms, utilize microorganisms, and prevent the harm of microorganisms.
The “Microbiology” section will publish original research articles and reviews concerned with microorganisms, including research achievements in the fields of fundamental microbiology, applied microbiology, and microbial biotechnology.
