Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

With the progress of the times and the development of the chemical industry, the existing processes can no longer meet the needs of human life and production, and furthermore, environmental pollution problems are imminent; in this context, there is an urgent need to develop a new processes to solve these problems. Nowadays, atmospheric and water pollution has become a threat to human existence, and the catalytic hydrogenation process can reduce the emission of harmful gases and improve the efficiency of chemical reactions and the quality of the products, and in the field of polymer materials, catalytic hydrogenation can be used to achieve the reduction in unsaturated structures using green means, which is fully in line with the new trend of environmentally friendly and low-carbon society. This Special Issue focuses on the development of novel catalytic hydrogenation processes to improve the efficiency of chemical reactions through catalytic hydrogenation, with the aim of pioneering novel catalytic hydrogenation processes and environmentally friendly and low-carbon hydrogenation routes. In addition, in the field of unsaturated polymers, new catalytic hydrogenation methods are used to reduce unsaturated groups while retaining the core functional groups by designing rational reaction routes, to take the best and remove the worst.

I kindly invite you to submit a high-quality contribution to this Special Issue of “New Insights into Catalytic Hydrogenation” and to discuss the recent developments in the field. Review and original research articles are welcome. Experimental as well as theoretical inquiries will be included.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Catalysts is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2200 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
