Dear colleagues,
In recent years, with the technological development of experimental quantum physics, many countries have made great effort to develop quantum computers. The number of bits that quantum computers can achieve has risen rapidly from a few to nearly a hundred. Thus, theoretical research on quantum computing has become particularly urgent. Quantum computing is an emerging cross-discipline that has developed in recent years. Using the basic principles of quantum mechanics, such as coherence, entanglement, unclonability, and uncertainty of quantum states, quantum computing has demonstrated capabilities that are different from classical computing. Some computing tasks have already demonstrated computing power that far exceeds classical computing and can achieve polynomial time acceleration or even exponential time acceleration. In this Special Issue, we aim to provide deep insights into the data processing in quantum computing.
We expect manuscripts that can discuss data processing topics related to quantum computing. All results related to quantum computing and data processing are welcome. Papers must contain original contributions and must not be currently under review by a conference or a journal.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Data processing in quantum algorithms;
- Data processing in quantum circuits;
- Data processing in quantum information;
- Data processing in simulation of quantum systems;
- Data processing in quantum error correction.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Data is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 1600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
