10th Anniversary

The year 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of Dermatopathology, a peer-reviewed open access journal on dermatopathology. With an Impact Factor of 1.6, the journal is covered in ESCI (Web of Science), PubMed, PMC, Embase, and other databases. The journal is owned by the European Society of Dermatopathology (ESDP) and has published more than 200 papers from more than 800 authors. We equally value the contributions made by our editors, authors, and reviewers.

In honor of the journal’s 10th anniversary, we are reflecting on our past accomplishments and embarking on an exciting new chapter. We invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone for our journal and to explore the content we have prepared for you below.

Journal History


The inaugural issue was released at Karger as the official journal of the European Society of Dermatopathology. Dermatopathology was published as a quarterly journal.

Prof. Dr. Gürkan Kaya was appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of the Dermatopathology.

Dermatopathology was indexed in PubMed.

Dermatopathology was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).

Dermatopathology was transferred to MDPI.

Dermatopathology organized the 1st Webinar—Pearls in Dermatopathology.

Dermatopathology Impact Factor was released in June 2023 (1.6).

The year 2024 marked the 10th anniversary of Dermatopathology.
