2015 Diagnostics introduced a new type of article: Interesting Images.
Diagnostics was indexed in PubMed and PubMed Central (PMC)—National Library of Medicine (NLM), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).
Diagnostics was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 5 (Issue 1).
2016 Diagnostics announced the first edition of the Travel Award.
Diagnostics established the following sections:
  • Medical Imaging;
  • In Vitro Diagnostics;
  • Molecular Diagnosis.
2018 Diagnostics published the first two Special Issue Books: Ovarian Cancer Screening and Diagnosis and Treatment of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.
Diagnostics announced the 2018 edition of the Travel Award.
2019 Diagnostics was indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 6 (Issue 1).
Diagnostics received its first Impact Factor (2.489).
Diagnostics was indexed in Scopus (Elsevier), starting with Volume 9 (Issue 1).
Diagnostics rearranged its sections as follows:
  • Medical Imaging;
  • Pathology and Molecular Diagnostics;
  • Point-of-Care Diagnostics and Devices;
  • Diagnostic Microbiology and Infectious Disease;
  • Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in Diagnostics.
Diagnostics presented at the 2019 EANM Congress, Barcelona, Spain in October 2019.
2020

Diagnostics Impact Factor surpassed 3.1.
Diagnostics adopted a monthly publication schedule.
Diagnostics established the following section:

  • Optical Diagnostics.

Diagnostics became an affiliated journal of the International Society for Infectious Diseases in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISIDOG).

2021 Diagnostics received an increased Impact Factor of 3.706 for the year 2020.
Diagnostics announced the 2020 edition of the Travel Award.
Diagnostics announced the first edition of the Outstanding Reviewer Awards.
2022 Section Medical Imaging was renamed as Medical Imaging and Theranostics.
Diagnostics established the following section:
  • Clinical Laboratory Medicine.
Diagnostics received a new Impact Factor of 3.992 for the year 2021.
2023 Diagnostics adopted a semimonthly publication schedule.
2024 Diagnostics established the following section:
  • Clinical Diagnosis and Prognosis.
