Dear Colleagues,
Venous thromboembolism (VTE), encompassing deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), is a serious and potentially life-threatening condition with considerable morbidity and mortality. Accurate and timely diagnosis of VTE is essential to initiate appropriate treatment and prevent severe complications. Recent years have witnessed remarkable advancements in diagnostic strategies for VTE, including novel imaging modalities, biomarkers, risk assessment tools, and machine learning algorithms, offering promising avenues for enhancing diagnostic accuracy and optimizing patient management.
The aim of this Special Issue is to explore the latest diagnostic tools, methodologies, and strategies in venous thromboembolism. By assembling cutting-edge research and clinical practices in the field, this Special Issue seeks to inform researchers about the evolving nature of VTE diagnosis and ultimately improve patient outcomes through timely and precise identification of this potentially life-threatening disease.

Diagnostics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
