Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The Special Issue on "Advanced Technologies in Intelligent Agriculture" aims to explore the impact and latest advancements of cutting-edge technologies in modern farming. As the global agricultural landscape faces increasing challenges, including climate change, resource scarcity, and the need for higher productivity, advanced technologies offer promising solutions. This Issue will explore the integration and application of intelligent systems, such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and big data analytics, to enhance agricultural practices.
The focus will be on precision farming, which utilizes data-driven techniques to optimize crop yields and reduce resource usage. Smart irrigation systems, leveraging IoT sensors, and AI will be examined for their role in conserving water and improving irrigation efficiency. Automated harvesting technologies will also be highlighted for their potential in increasing productivity and reducing labor costs.
Predictive analytics, driven by big data, will be discussed in terms of the ability to provide farmers with actionable insights on crop health, pest management, and weather patterns, enabling proactive decision-making. Sustainable agricultural practices will be a key theme, showcasing how these technologies contribute to environmentally friendly farming methods that ensure long-term agricultural sustainability.
This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state and future prospects of intelligent agriculture. By bringing together research and case studies from around the world, it will offer valuable insights into how these advanced technologies are reshaping traditional agricultural methods and contributing to the future of farming.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
