Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The Metaverse has recently been a prominent topic, offering immersive technology for a range of applications. The Metaverse is primarily concerned with high-fidelity online virtual environments for social connections. This holds significant potential in the entertainment, business, education, retail, and real estate sectors. AI is the essential technology enabling the Metaverse's scalability and automation. Deep-learning-based technologies will drive all continuing online operations, including humanized social interactions, enhanced smart contracts, smart networks, and natural language engagement. All of this necessitates a large amount of training data and modeling to boost user realism and involvement, and this complementary relationship is what gives rise to the Metaverse's potential. This Special Issue will provide the latest research findings and development from researchers in several domains, as well as propose various metaverse applications. Potential topics may include, but are not limited to:
- Immersive technology with virtual reality.
- Non-immersive technology with augmented reality.
- Mixed reality or extended reality.
- Artificial intelligence in virtual reality.
- Artificial intelligence in the Metaverse.
- Virtual reality in the Metaverse.
- Metaverse application.
- Interaction in the Metaverse.
- Virtual environment.
- Big data in virtual reality.
- Deep-learning for the Metaverse.
