Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The role of nutritional support at the end of life involves the genesis of numerous bioethical dilemmas regarding its consideration as basic care or treatment, since there are different doctrinal positions on the issue.

This Special Issue will carry out an analysis, from a bioethics perspective, on the consideration of nutritional support as basic care or treatment to identify the elements that allow patients, medical professionals and family members to assess whether access and/or limitation to food and hydration is based exclusively on physiological criteria.

We invite researchers to provide articles. Research areas that study and integrate nutritional support at the end of life from the perspective of care, bioethics, nutrition, palliative care, pharmacy and health administration are welcome. The study population may include patients, carers, and/or healthcare professionals. The articles may be original research articles and reviews. All types of study design will be considered.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
