Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We would like to invite authors from Central and Eastern European countries to participate in this Special Issue, focusing on child and adolescent health. We propose a broad scope of topics, and only the geographical region and age group are criteria for eligibility. Review articles and original papers based on administratively collected data (such as mortality statistics) as well as survey results will be considered. The thematic scope of the original papers combines objective and subjective evaluation of health with health-related behavior, both in the context of assessing the scale of problems and trends as well as determinants. It would be important to look at health in its various dimensions, not only physical and mental, but also social and spiritual. We expect a new look at old problems, as well as references to new problems and challenges, such as the role of social media. We encourage reference to research directions aimed at empowerment of the young generation in the context of health, such as the right to health, health education, including sexual education, health literacy, and youth engagement. The papers may concern one country, but studies including data from groups of countries are a priority. It would be worth sharing the conclusions of studies performed in Eastern and Central Europe and their practical implications, which may have a more global impact.
