Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma represent the six most common cancers worldwide, with a high mortality rate. Despite the fact that curative intent can be proven with a multimodal approach that combines surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, unfortunately, a large part of cancer goes into progression. In recent years, there has been an introduction in clinical practice in the advanced setting of immunotherapy that has helped to increase overall survival. However, this advance is not sufficient, and most patients go into progression after immunotherapy. Fortunately, a lot of new cancer drugs are showing promising activity to overcome the resistance. This Special Issue aims to provide a platform for molecular mechanistic research on head and neck cancers, with a special focus on potential treatments and novel pathogenic pathways involved in related diseases.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. International Journal of Molecular Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
