About Journal of Xenobiotics

Aims

The Journal of Xenobiotics (ISSN 2039-4713) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal. Our aim is to provide an advanced forum for studies related to all aspects of xenobiotics. The journal publishes reviews, regular research papers, and short communications as well as Special Issues on particular subjects. In addition, manuscripts regarding new and innovative research proposals and ideas are particularly welcome.

The aim of the Journal of Xenobiotics is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is, therefore, no restriction on the maximum length of the papers, although authors should write their papers in a clear and concise way. The full experimental details should be provided so that the results can be reproduced. Electronic files or software regarding the full details of calculations and experimental procedure can be submitted as supplementary material, if it is not possible to publish them along with the text.

Scope

  • Xenobiotics: any chemicals of foreign (unnatural) composition or concentration. For example, caffeine is natural but found at unusually high concentrations in unexpected environments (river water contaminated by wastewater). Many pharmaceuticals are synthesized compounds not usually found in nature (carbamazepine, fluoxetine, etc.). Products derived from nanotechnology or microelectronics are another example.
  • Xenobiotic toxins
  • Xenobiotic pharmacology
  • Environmental xenobiotics
  • Endocrine disruptors
  • Oxidative stress
  • Antibiotics
  • Biomarkers
  • Nanoparticles
  • Microplastics
  • Pesticides
  • Herbicides
