Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The treatment landscape of dermatologic conditions has changed dramatically in the past few decades. Immune therapy and targeted treatments have revolutionized the field given their high efficacy and safety and are, nowadays, recommended as a first-line therapy in numerous dermatologic disorders. The development of diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines has greatly reduced variation in clinical practice. Nevertheless, the extensive use of novel treatments has revealed considerable inter-individual variability regarding treatment response extent, promptness, and stability, as well as tolerance and adherence. Therefore, it has become obvious that a shift from a uniform, disease-centered treatment to a personalized one, centered on health maintenance, is needed to maximize efficacy and safety and reduce costs.

Our aim is to gather and support both clinicians and researchers in sharing their experience with personalized treatment regimens, alongside the results of their innovative studies at the forefront of this particularly dynamic field.

We hope that you will find the topic of this Special Issue interesting and warmly invite you to submit an original article or review on research areas such as inflammatory skin disease, bullous disorders, skin cancer, and genodermatoses, among others.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
