Dear Colleagues,
Various types of organic complexes are key structures in modern supramolecular chemistry and the chemistry of new materials. After isolation and full characterization and/or after generating in situ, a very rich family of organic complexes, especially organometallic complexes, is very often used in heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis. On the other hand, complexes showing biological activity are used in the pharmaceutical industry, which is currently obliged to thoroughly investigate the biological activity of enantiomeric forms of all chiral drugs before introducing them to the market. The main purpose of this Special Issue of Materials is to present a contemporary overview of the advances in the preparation, the structural determinations and the diverse applications of new organic complexes, broadly divided into the following groups:
- inclusion complexes;
- complexes of organometallic moieties with mono- and multifunctional nitrogen ligands;
- complexes of organometallic moieties with mono- and multifunctional phosphorus ligands;
- complexes of organometallic moieties with mono- and multifunctional chalcogen ligands;
- organic complexes based on interactions of the hydrogen bond type;
- organic complexes based on interactions of the halogen bond type;
- organic complexes based on interactions of the chalcogen bond type.
Therefore, all contributions dealing with the above-mentioned issues in the chemistry of organic complexes (from the fundamental aspects to applications in material chemistry, general and asymmetric synthesis and for physicochemical determinations) are warmly welcome.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Materials is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
