12 December 2024 22nd Annual World Congress on Insulin Resistance, Diabetes & Cardiovascular Disease (WCIRDC)

The World Congress on Insulin Resistance, Diabetes & Cardiovascular Disease (WCIRDC), now in its 22nd year, is a unique and exciting multidisciplinary CME conference. The program is designed to evaluate both clinical and basic science aspects of diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and chronic kidney disease, focusing on insulin resistance, incretins, the gut, the brain, the kidney, and the heart, in pursuit of our theme: Exploring New Frontiers in Metabolism—Tomorrow’s Clinical Science Today. The goal is to understand pathophysiology and develop appropriate comprehensive clinical management plans. This educational initiative is designed for endocrinologists, cardiologists, nephrologists, family physicians, internists, diabetologists, gastroenterologists, pediatricians, obstetrician–gynecologists (OB/GYNs), researchers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dieticians, diabetes educators, and other healthcare professionals interested in the pathophysiology, prevention, and treatment of diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, heart failure, and associated conditions, as well as the effect of these conditions on health and society.

25–28 March 2025 10th German Pharm-Tox Summit

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is our great pleasure to cordially invite you to the 10th German Pharm-Tox Summit, which will be held from March 25 to 28, 2025, in Hannover, Germany. Hannover is easily reached from all parts of Germany and neighboring countries. After the great success of our last meeting in Munich, we strive to further develop our conference with high academic standards and ample opportunities for scientific exchange. We are particularly interested in providing scientific opportunities for junior scientists.

The GPTS is organized by the German Society for Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology (DGPT) together with several other scientific societies.

The scientific committee covers all fields of pharmacology and toxicology and will ensure that the program with three plenary talks, various symposia, including one by the Paul Martini Foundation, many short talks and poster sessions will provide exciting insights into cutting-edge topics of pharmacology and toxicology and enhance scientific exchange to initiate new collaborations.

The congress venue is located in building J2 of the Hannover Medical School (MHH) which is easily accessible by public transportation (Stadtbahnlinie 4, S-Bahn, Bus), car, bike and foot. It is compact and will guarantee that you can meet your colleagues in a relaxed manner. Particular emphasis will be placed on the best poster presentation. The MHH is a hotspot for biomedical research in Germany and is in close proximity to the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine (ITEM) which will substantially contribute to our meeting. Conveniently located hotels near the venue will make your stay in Hannover easy.
