Dear Colleagues,
In a world struggling with the escalating challenges of environmental degradation and resource depletion, the exploration of sustainable solutions has become an imperative pursuit. Among the many strategies aimed at mitigating these issues, thermochemical conversion processes have emerged as an alternative to harness the untapped potential of biomass and waste materials. Traditionally recognized for their role in energy generation, these conversion techniques have found relevance in other novel and interesting contexts, such as their non-energetic applications.
This Special Issue, entitled "Application of Products from Thermochemical Conversion on Biomass and Wastes", targets research that explores how the valuable products and byproducts generated during thermochemical conversion processes can be repurposed across diverse applications.
The Special Issue seeks to uncover innovative ways to harness the outputs of thermochemical conversion for sustainable progress beyond the energetic ones. While minimizing environmental impacts, such applications can guide us to a greener and more resource-efficient future. With a focus on non-energetic applications, we set the stage for a paradigm shift in how we perceive and leverage the potential of thermochemical conversion technologies.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Processes is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
