Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Risk management in insurance in the context of sustainable development is a concept with deep theoretical and practical justification. It is built on a cause-and-effect analysis, concerning the integration of the economy, society, and the environment in individual areas. This is mainly due to the measures implemented to introduce structural changes to the economy in terms of risk reduction. Representatives of insurance companies and other activities of enterprises constantly collect data and information that are used to make strategic decisions in order to reduce risk based on the accumulated knowledge, which translates into skillful risk management. The popularization of the concept of interdependence of risk, insurance, economy, management, and their interdependence is largely related to numerous crises, including COVID-19.
This Special Edition aims to bring together the latest developments in the application of methods and tools relating to the concept of the interdependence of sustainable development in the area of insurance and emerging risks. Therefore, it is important that research increasingly serves as a channel for solutions to overcome the negative effects crises in the future. Research articles should cover multi-faceted topics related to risk, insurance, economy, management and quality, knowledge, innovation, competition, regional competitiveness, and actions taken in this area.
