Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue focuses on basin water science and green development from the perspective of basin development, exploring the problems of water science, and analyzing the relationship and mechanism between basin development and water security. The main topics include processes, mechanisms, and treatment technology of water pollution in river and lake basins; lake and reservoir eutrophication; the relationship between basin development and water pollution and its mechanism; new technologies and materials for water pollution control; biogeochemistry of nitrogen and phosphorus; evolution and driving mechanism of water ecosystem; water ecological risk assessment and prevention; sediment pollution mechanism and release control; water safety and risk control; basin evolution and its relationship with economic and social development and its driving mechanism; and so on.

For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Water is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
