Topic Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Topic Collection is published in collaboration with The Annual European Rheology Conference (AERC 2022): Transdisciplinary Rheology, a bridge to sustainable progress and welfare, and welcomes participants of the conference and all others who want to publish their papers with us.

Rheology, defined as the science of deformation and flow of matter, is a transdisciplinary scientific field, covering both fundamental and applied approaches. The study of rheological behavior is of utmost importance in many fields, from formulation and product development of green products used in the food, agriculture, and lubricant industry, for example, and cosmetics and pharmaceutical product development, to industrial processes such as polymer processing and recycling and oil extraction, among several others.

Therefore, we would like to invite authors to contribute original research articles as well as review articles in the fields of experimental and computational rheology applied to the most diverse classes of materials (foods, pharmaceuticals, polymers and biopolymers, multiphasic systems, etc.) and processes.

Topics of interest may include but are not limited to:

  • Emulsions, foams, and Interfacial Rheology
  • Suspensions
  • Experimental methods and new advances in rheometry
  • Food rheology
  • Industrial rheology and processing
  • Bio-rheology and medicine
  • Micro-, nanofluidics, and microrheology
  • Non-Newtonian fluid mechanics and computational rheology
  • Gels and self-assembling structures
  • Polymer solutions and melts
  • Solids, glasses, and composites

that correspond to the AERC Symposia.

Preprints.org is a multidiscipline platform providing preprint service that is dedicated to sharing your research from the start and empowering your research journey.

MDPI Topics is cooperating with Preprints.org and has built a direct connection between MDPI journals and Preprints.org. Authors are encouraged to enjoy the benefits by posting a preprint at Preprints.org prior to publication:

  1. Immediately share your ideas ahead of publication and establish your research priority;
  2. Protect your idea from being stolen with this time-stamped preprint article;
  3. Enhance the exposure and impact of your research;
  4. Receive feedback from your peers in advance;
  5. Have it indexed in Web of Science (Preprint Citation Index), Google Scholar, Crossref, SHARE, PrePubMed, Scilit and Europe PMC.
