Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

"The review is of paramount importance to global readers those who are interested in the detrimental effects of fluoride all over the world.  The structure of the article was well organized and it has clearly discussed the issue but I suggest the author to change the current topic of the article "Shedding light on the contribution of Fluoride to the pathogenesis of Eye Diseases: Molecular Mechanisms and Implications for Public Health", as "The contribution of Fluoride to the pathogenesis of Eye Diseases: Molecular Mechanisms and Implications for Public Health" since this is a scientific article".

Reviewer 2 Report

Excellent epidemiologic summary of Fluoride's potential effects on eye disease with biochemical explanations.

Quite interesting, very well written and worthy of publication.

1) Substitute AMD for ADM in multiple lines in the paper. It is convention in the United States to use the acronym AMD. Spell out Age-Related Macular Degeneration in Abstract as readers may not be familiar with this acronym.

It is a review paper only- simply based on some older epidemiology information.

However the biochemical explanation was interesting and I think it would be a good

paper for your journal.

Author Response

Dear Reviewer,

I thank you for taking the time to review my submission and have made the revisions to the manuscript as requested. The use of ADM in the original document instead of AMD was a typographical error.

Yours sincerely
