Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This paper is related to an interesting topic, namely Sustainable digital marketing: Factors of Adoption of M-Technologies by older adults in the Chinese Market for sustainability

However, the manuscript needs to be further developed in order to meet the expected academic requirements.

·                     In introduction section, the authors must to identify the research questions that drive the paper from an ongoing and pertinent bibliography (up to 2022).

In addition. The authors have to provide a stronger motivation for the study. These should be of global interest and not focused on a particular local problem.

·                     Literature review

The authors need to perform a detailed literature review and develop the model in a systematic manner using all the appropriate literature (review all the previous theories and models)

·                     Methodology section needs improvements

Questionnaire design and development should be explained.  The procedure for sample size determination is not well explained. what is the exact population size from which the sample was drawn and what is the detailed breakdown of the population? How was the sample drawn, what exact technique was adopted and how was this ensured?

·               Provide a more critical discussion regarding theoretical and practical implications.

Make the implication section two parts

·                     Practical implication is missing

·                     Theoretical implication is missing

·                     Conclusion is missing

·        Answer your research question in the conclusions; what did we learn compared with current, significant research (up to 2022).

Feedback on the manuscript of this article:

> How many actual samples are 251 or 258 (See abstract and also Methods)

> Management of reference sources: Quotation addresses still need to be adjusted to standard writing conventions, including (using 'et al', using last names, etc.);

> Each figure and table presented includes the source.

> analysis using SEM SPSS AMOS v.24. Present the image / model of the AMOS output analysis before the data is displayed.

> There is a violation of writing ethics by quoting without writing a bibliography, seen on page 386 (Hu & Bentler, 1999); 388 (Arbuckle, 2003); 446 (Yamane, 1973); 530 (Holden et al, 2015).

> Improving bibliographic exposure in a standard manner and in accordance with the provisions in force in this journal, in addition to several sources being written and presented repeatedly.

> Suggestion: in managing references it is better to use Tools, (Zotero, EndNote, Mendeley, etc.)
