Assessing the Impact of Geospatial Susceptibility on the Rural Agricultural Landscapes of Village Settlements in Southwestern Nigeria
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThe paper deals with constructing a theoretical framework for agricultural landscape pattern transitions in rural areas. Furthermore, the theoretical framework was applied to empirical study in the field of the Alabata farm settlement 16 in Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria. This approach implies the high value of the proposed framework. Also, the paper is written in comprehensive and readable form and consequently I could not find any problems with this paper.
In my opinion the paper is well prepared, and it could be published in present form.
The only improvements might be made if authors want to discuss the further directions of research and to discuss the possible challenges of proposed framework.

Response 1: Paper updated accordingly (see the revised text in both yellow and green color shades in the main file). The pages and lines in the old manuscript do not correspond to this new updated manuscript because of the addition of new maps and sentences. |
Reviewer 3 Report
Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsIt is an interesting study, with data and a method that can be used in much more extensive cases.
Greater clarity in the visibility of data and explanations for figure 6 would be necessary.
The working methods applied (as a recommendation) should be much more detailed. Their step-by-step presentation.
The results come with details, but not the methodology. That is precisely why it would be good to have more explanations in this case as well. At point 3.3. Opinions, Perceptions, and Analysis of the Farmers' Response, each question is noted and comes with an explanation, but more is needed.
I suggest that you correct the text in point 2. Literature Review, where it is repeated 2.1. Rural Settlements, Livability Assessment Index in view and also 2.1. Rural Settlements and Livability Assessment
