Research on the Spatio-Temporal Differentiation Characteristics and Factors of Typical Square Cities in China from the Perspective of Human Settlements
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
In this paper, using data from remote sensing photos, questionnaires, geographical statistics, social economy, and other sources, 48 squares in the main districts of Dalian have been developed from the perspective of human settlements to build five systems: nature, humanity, society, residence, and support. The goal is to investigate the spatial-temporal differentiation characteristics and their driving mechanisms, primarily along the NE-SEE direction. During the development of New China, they were dispersed around the city, primarily in the NE-SE and NNW-SSW axes.
The paper is interesting and can be published after minor revisions:
Figure 4: include key/legend.
Discussion: can you compare your results with international studies?
Conclusions: include future research.
