Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue summarizes the recent advancements in several fields of dental clinical and surgical practice, empathizing emerging trends and consolidates best practices. Additionally, the Special Issue addresses the challenges of diagnosing, treatment planning, medication prescribing, managing special-care patients, and the intricate relationship between oral and systemic diseases.
We welcome reviews and original articles that delve into a broad spectrum of dental topics, including but not limited to the following:
- Restorative Dentistry: new materials, techniques, and digital workflows.
- Endodontics: advances in root canal therapies, including minimally invasive and 3D techniques.
- Prosthodontics: modern approaches to prosthetics, such as CAD/CAM and 3D technologies.
- Periodontics: advances in periodontal treatments, including regenerative and laser therapies.
- Oral Surgery: minimally invasive and innovative techniques, advanced implant placement, and complex case management.
- Orthodontics: state-of-the-art orthodontic treatments, including clear aligners and self-ligating braces.
- Patient Care: strategies for managing patients’ special needs, addressing oral-systemic health connections, and medications.
- Dental Technology: digital imaging, CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and other robotic and informatic technological innovations transforming dental practice.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Clinics and Practice is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
