Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The evolution of electric power systems plays a crucial role in supporting the demands of modern society, especially in the context of increasing electrification, renewable energy integration, and the pursuit of sustainability. Challenges such as grid stability, energy storage, system reliability, and efficient power generation have pushed the boundaries of research and innovation in this field. At the same time, advancements in digitalization, smart grids, and novel energy systems have enabled progress in addressing these challenges.

This Special Issue aims to present and disseminate the latest developments in the theory, design, operation, and optimization of electric power systems. Contributions exploring the integration of renewable energy sources, grid modernization, advanced power electronics, and innovative solutions for energy management are highly encouraged.

Topics of interest for publication include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Integration of renewable energy sources into power grids.
  • Energy storage systems and their role in grid stability.
  • Smart grid technologies and digitalization of power systems.
  • Advanced methods for power generation and distribution.
  • Enhancing reliability and resilience in power systems.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Energies is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
