Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Advances in the linkage and use of administrative data have expanded our ability to understand the epidemiology and etiology of child maltreatment. Increasingly, these data are being used to better inform policy and intervention development. Further the ability to access very large data sets that are multi-level and longitudinal in nature offer the opportunity to apply more advanced statistical methods at the geographic, person or variable based levels. Many gaps remain, however, and the access to and appropriate use of these data can be challenging.
This Special Issue intends to highlight current and emerging trends in the use of so-called “Big Data” in child maltreatment research. We welcome both substantive articles on child maltreatment, as well as methodological pieces focused on ethics or analytic issues.
