The Special Issue, entitled "Molecular Insights into the Impact of Toxic Metal Accumulation on Human Diseases", aims to delve into the intricate relationship between toxic metal exposure and the development of various human diseases. Metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, aluminum, and arsenic are known to accumulate in human tissues over time, posing a significant threat to public health. Exposure to these toxic metals has been associated with a spectrum of diseases, ranging from neurological disorders and cardiovascular diseases to cancers. As the world grapples with increasing industrialization and urbanization, understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying the link between toxic metal accumulation and human diseases becomes crucial for devising effective preventive and therapeutic strategies.
This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive platform for researchers to present their latest findings and insights into the molecular aspects of toxic metal-induced diseases. We invite contributions that elucidate the pathways through which toxic metals interact with biological systems at the molecular level, leading to the onset and progression of several diseases, such as cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and neurological pathologies Authors are encouraged to explore novel methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and innovative approaches to unravel the complex molecular networks involved in toxic metal toxicity. Additionally, this Special Issue seeks to highlight potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets that may pave the way for the development of targeted interventions to mitigate the impact of toxic metal accumulation on human health. By bringing together a diverse array of research contributions, this Special Issue aims to advance our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underpinning toxic metal-induced diseases, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among researchers and ultimately contributing to the development of strategies to safeguard public health in the face of increasing environmental challenges.
