Special Issue Information
In the context of the current emphasis on greening European economies, nature-based solutions are at the forefront of popularity. One of the recent trends undertaken by national or local authorities in various regions of the world is to pursue an infrastructure policy that includes green spaces as much as possible. This is combined with sports and leisure facilities being treated at the design stage as valuable elements of the urban and rural landscape that should be integrated into the surroundings. This is important not only from the point of view of the tourist experience, but also from the perspective of residents wanting to be as close to nature as possible.
The purpose of this Special Issue is to present scientific research on spatial development solutions for the needs of the sport and environment-friendly tourism. We are also waiting for papers on sustainable sports and recreation infrastructure in urbanized and non-urbanized areas.
