26–28 March 2025 ICARS 2025 – Shaping Sustainable Global Landscapes

Barcelona, Spain

We are delighted to announce the International Conference on Advanced Remote Sensing – Shaping Sustainable Global Landscapes (ICARS 2025), scheduled to take place in Barcelona, Spain, from March 26–28, 2025.

The conference will focus on how advanced remote sensing technologies are transforming our approach to global challenges. Over three days, we will explore innovations in Earth and environmental sciences, engineering advancements, and practical applications in biological and agricultural fields.

The Summit “Space Agenda for Tomorrow” will bring together international organizations, scientists, space agencies, and industry representatives from the Remote Sensing community with the aim to debate prominent points at the top of the agenda for the sector and identify key global challenges of tomorrow consistent with sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals. With an eye on the present and walking the path to 2030, the Summit will cover critical issues such as climate change, landscape protection and infrastructure assessment, food security, biodiversity, sustainable ocean economy, pollution, and natural hazards.

We are also committed to showcasing the work of early-stage researchers, and the majority of the oral presentations will be selected from submitted abstracts. Crucially, the program will provide plenty of opportunities to casually network via poster sessions and refreshment breaks.

ICARS 2025 promises insightful discussions and innovative solutions for a sustainable world. Don't miss your chance to be part of this pivotal gathering—mark your calendar today!

We look forward to seeing you in Barcelona!

Sincerely,

Upcoming Partner Conferences (2)

25–29 November 2024 4th Latin American and Caribbean Forum on Urban Forests

São José dos Campos, São Paulo, Brazil

The Forum will be held in person and will include lectures, presentations and group discussions throughout the week of November 25th to 29th, 2024, in São José dos Campos, São Paulo, Brazil.

The objective of the meeting will be to monitor the results of the three previous Forums and, specifically, of the Guadalajara Action Plan, as well as to frame regional activities related to the management of trees and urban forests within the broader framework of the results obtained in the “Second World Forum on Urban Forests”, held in the capital of the United States, Washington, last year.

In particular, the dialogues that will take place at the forum will seek to highlight the positive examples of planning, design and management approaches that cities with diverse cultures, forms, structures and histories have implemented on the Continent, elucidating and optimizing the contribution of urban forests to sustainable urban development. In particular, this fourth edition will focus on social and technological innovations related to the management of urban forests and trees. The conference link is as follows:
