Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Headache is one of the most significant challenges faced by people worldwide. The economic and opportunity losses caused by headaches are increasingly recognized, and a paradigm shift is underway as new medications are being introduced. Headaches, especially migraines, have now become treatable conditions. However, some patients remain "headache refugees" or suffer from medication-overuse headaches due to a lack of access to appropriate care and accurate information. In order to increase the number of patients who can benefit from headache treatment, it is not enough to introduce new drugs; we must broadly educate, monitor, and generate data-driven knowledge about the burden of disease in headaches and the significance of its treatment effects.
For this Special Issue, we invite the submission of manuscripts on a wide range of topics related to the treatment and prevention of headaches. We particularly welcome papers that address new drug therapies, awareness-raising initiatives, and epidemiological studies that aim to expand access to appropriate headache care. In addition, we are interested in papers that explore the role of the latest technologies, such as artificial intelligence, data science, and wearable devices, in advancing headache treatment and management.
We encourage submissions that will help make headache care accessible to a broader population and contribute to societal change, with a focus on leveraging technological innovations to improve clinical outcomes.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Life is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
