Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Nanocomposites with a very fine size have attracted huge attention in various catalytic oxidation reactions. In particular, nanocomposites prepared by the combination of two or more metal active species obviously show a significant enhancement in catalytic activity because of their high synergistic effect. In addition, bi- or tri-metallic nanocomposites are very stable and reusable, even under very harsh reaction conditions. Such bi- or tri-metallic nanocomposites (combination of two or three non-noble metals) have been demonstrated be an efficient alternate for the expensive noble-metal catalysts. Hence, the demand for bi- or tri-metallic nanocomposites has been increasing rapidly because of their importance in various catalytic oxidation reactions. Recently, research has been widely focused on developing unique methods for the preparation of bi- and tri-metallic nanocomposites. In fact, the preparation methods play a very crucial role in attaining the unique morphology of the nanocomposites. Hence, investigating the preparation methods and catalytic properties of bi- or tri-metallic nanocomposites deserves special attention. In this Special Issue, we invite authors to submit communications, original research, and review articles that focus on the preparation and catalytic applications of bi- or tri-metallic nanocomposites. Particularly, articles focusing on the preparation methods of bi- or tri-metallic nanocomposites and its uses in oxidation reactions, such as CO oxidation, epoxidation reactions, and oxidation of HMF, sulfides, alcohols, and alkanes, are just one of the main focuses of this Special Issue.
